There is an old saying, "all good things must come to an end", and in this life that sure seems true; but what if it doesn't have to be?

Jesus said: "Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." - John 16:33

And also: "Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am." - John 14:1,3

When times get tough down here, and they will, we hold on to the hope of a better life God is preparing for us.  A life not just free from suffering and pain, but also one filled with joy beyond what we can comprehend.

"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him." - 1 Corinthians 2:9

Imagine a life where the things we enjoy (snuggling our pets, being with friends and family, etc) never have to end!  What a day that will be!
